Thailand - Burma agrees speed bump Dawei Special Economic Zone

Vice president Myanmar visits Prime Minister Prayuth, two sides agreed to accelerate Dawei Special Economic Zone.

On 29 Jan, Capt. MD. Yongyuth Maiyalap, Spokesman of Prime Minister's Office,revealed that 

on 29 January 2558, Mr.Vice President Nyan Tun Myanmar, came to meet Gen.. Prayuth Chan-ocha Prime Minister on the occasion of his official visit to Thailand to attend a high-level joint committee Thailand - Burma Dawei Special Economic Zone and development projects (JHC).

During 29-30 Jan 2558, which marks the third meeting with Japan for the first time.

The two sides agreed that the consortium will have the Dawei Special Economic Zone to progress quickly and accelerate to the development of associated infrastructure.

They noted that this project is important for Burma and other countries in the region.

Because it is the gateway to the west of Burma - Thailand. Go to Ho Chi Minh City and Phnom Penh in the future.

Gen.. Prayuth To raise the matter discussed with the Prime Minister of Japan during an official visit in early February 2015.

The Prime Minister also met with Vice President of Myanmar to cooperate to develop the border areas to cooperation in fisheries travel & labor.
