Thailand agreement opened routes to Laos welcome the ASEAN 


Department of Transport, businesses operating across the country to reach agreement Laos ASEAN and the private transport company. Aim surfaced path from the territorial border to stimulate the economy.


July 28, 2014, reporters apprised that Department of Land Transport Agreement on road transport between Thailand and Laos. To facilitate the traffic between the two countries. Now, it is exploring additional bus routes, from the existing 14 routes. There are 10 main routes as following;

  1. Nong Khai - Vientiane
  2. Udon Thani - Vientiane
  3. Khon Kaen - Vientiane
  4. Bangkok - Vientiane
  5. Ubon Ratchathani - Pakse
  6. Mukdahan - Savannakhet 
  7. Phanom - ThaKhek
  8. Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai - Bokeo - Luang Namtha - Bathtub - Luang Prabang
  9.  Udon Thani - Nong Khai - Vang Vieng
  10. Bangkok - Ubon Ratchathani - Pakse

In addition, the Department of Transport has licensed the passenger transport operators. There are both bus and not bus, and individuals with a total of 285 cases. Total are 677 buses to cause the trade and boost tourism especially after the ASEAN Economic Community.


Meanwhile, the public transportation in Thailand plans to increase its bus routes to Laos by leaving Nan way. Because of city is not far from Luang Prabang and can help stimulate border Nan.
